Parental involvement
Your participation is vital for a positive, collaborative approach to the education of your child, for providing enhanced opportunities for learning, and improved educational outcomes for all students. We have a wonderful record of parent involvement in many areas and we are grateful for this assistance. We encourage you to keep informed and become involved.
Each year level provides
an overview each term, which provides parents with a summary of curriculum and
upcoming events and activities. Click here to view the class newsletters. Parents are able to arrange meetings with
class teachers at any time during the term by contacting the school office. Formal
interviews are offered at the end of Term 1.
Student progress reports
are issued at the end of Terms 2 and 4.
For day to day
communication with teachers, please email your child’s teacher directly or for
more urgent matters, contact the school office.
Electronic newsletter
We publish a weekly parent bulletin called the Gumdale Gazette, and a full newsletter twice per term to inform you and community members about school activities, developments and initiatives. If you have information you would like included in the newsletter, please forward it to us for approval.
We distribute the newsletter via email and make it available on the school website. Please email info@gumdaless.eq.edu.au with any changes to your contact details.
If you are unable to receive newsletters electronically, please let our office staff know and we will arrange a paper copy for you.
