Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures is a cross-curricular priority of the Australian Curriculum. Here at Gumdale State School we believe that the future of reconciliation is through knowledge, understanding and education to help shape our shared future.
We endeavour to draw on and celebrate the history, wisdom and culture of thousands of years of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander civilisation to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
We provide opportunities for students and community to share and develop a deeper understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and language.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2025-2026 was published in Term 1, 2025. It is the school's fifth RAP.
