We are also proud to introduce a MakerSpace room during lunchtime play for Year 1s and 2s.

What is it?

Based on the STEAM model for design and creative problem solving, MakerSpace is a place where students can to go to create, make, tinker and explore.

What makes it different than a playroom?

Students will learn flexibility in thinking, collaboration and reflection. They will be guided to think, make and improve designs and have the opportunity for ongoing projects. In this environment, inventive kids can test their own ideas and set out to find answers.  They can make new friends and gain a sense of belonging. They can feel less pressure and lower inhibitions about trying something new.

How do we get started?

Makerspace will be in the STEAM room during playtime 1st lunch, on Wednesdays.
