Science and Sound around the School

This term, across our curricular and co-curricular activities, students are continuing with learning connections between maths, music, sound and light.

Our Senior band has commenced rehearsal, and our beginners have started their small group lessons with Mrs Thomas.  Remember, 10 minutes practice every day doubles your skills from the day before, and has a huge effect over time!

Pop UP gigs will start again in the coming weeks.  We had some great lunchtime performances from students choosing their own songs to sing, and look forward to many more this year.  If you interested in auditioning to perform, please see Mr Broughton.

We have assembled a Sound and Lighting team who are learning how to set up events at school, including assemblies and public functions.  This is very important crew who have started their training by leading our morning "Just Dance" sessions in the hall before school.  Congratulations to these year 5 and 6 students who have taken on a big responsibility.

Our Gumnuts, Gumleaves and Gumtrees choirs have also begun to learn their repertoire.  Gumnuts (years 1-2) rehearse on Wednesdays 1st break and Gumleaves on Wednesday 2nd break.  The Gumtrees (years 5-6) have choir practice on Thursday 1st break.
