Major Raffle –THANK YOU! 

We are thrilled to announce that our Hamilton Island Raffle Fundraiser was a huge success! With your assistance we were able to raise $10,753 to put towards school equipment and resources. 

We would like to thank you for all your efforts. It was wonderful to see the spirit and enthusiasm that was displayed in supporting our fundraiser. 

Volunteers Needed! 

Our volunteer numbers are really down this year and we’re putting the call out for anyone in our school community who could get involved! Can you spare an hour here and there to help raise funds for Gumdale State School? The Fundraising Committee needs volunteers for our upcoming events including people to help the students shop at the Mother’s Day Stall, others to help sell raffle tickets and run the BBQ on Saturdays at the IGA and also helpers for the set up and tear down of the Fashion Parade. 2017 P&C Fundraising Committee 

The 2017 Fundraising Committee held its first meeting on Wednesday 26 April and is proud to announce re-nominated members Kylie Brayshaw, Angela Brown, Jacinta Colley, Catherine Cook, Kate Crowe, Liz Harding, Caroline Harrison, Michelle Moffatt, Shaunesy Pegg and Lorie Zahradnik. We would like to welcome new members Donna Baden, Gretchen Mander-Jones and Abhishek Bhasin. 

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our outgoing Fundraising Committee members, some of whom have served in Executive roles for several years. Renae Northcott (former Chairperson), Rachael Franklin (outgoing Treasurer), Bridget Kinch, Jodie Cherviakov, Harriet Campbell, and Roger Healy we thank you! 

We are pleased to announce the following positions have been filled:

Thank you to all of the volunteers who have taken on these roles.  You’re a huge asset to the Fundraising Committee and without your valued time and effort we wouldn’t be able to raise the funds that we do. 

Mother’s Day Stall – Thursday 11 and Friday 12 May​ 

The Mother’s Day Stall will be held in the foyer of Hollis Hall on Thursday 11 & Friday 12 May.

This year we are looking for donations of wrapped individual chocolates such as a box of Cadbury Favourites or Cadbury Roses.  If you are able to provide a donation, please drop off to the donations box located at School Admin by Friday 8 May.

Gifts will be priced from $2.00 to $10.00.  Cards will also be available and priced at $1.00. We will advise the students’ class shopping schedule closer to the time. 

Fashion Parade – Saturday 20 May from 6:30pm

  • Tickets go on sale Monday 8 May @ 10:00am via Trybooking – https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=226976
  • $50 per ticket or $400 for a full table of 8
  • Purchase a full table of 8, pay in full & receive 2 complimentary bottles of Champagne!
  • Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.
  • Bus tickets & Drink cards will also be available to be purchased via Trybooking.

 We’re proud to announce our Platinum Sponsors for this event are:  1300 epromo, Activate Physiotherapy, Ashmore Palms Resort, Endota Spa, Harcourts Gumdale, Imago Photography, Rebalance Pilates and Yoga Capalaba and Todd Gerhardt Realty. We are still looking for sponsors to come on board for raffle prizes so if your business would like to get involved, please contact the Working Party at fundraising@gumdalesspc.org.au 

Volunteers will be at IGA Gumdale selling raffle tickets for the major raffle in the lead up to the Fashion Parade. Come and grab your tickets between 7am - 2pm on Saturday 6 May, Saturday 13 May and Saturday 20 May for a chance to win some amazing prizes!  We will also be holding a BBQ Saturday 13 May – come and grab a sausage outside IGA.

Loose Change Challenge 

Start saving your loose change now - the Loose Change Challenge is returning 12 June – 23 June Term 2)! Which class will win the grand prize?
