P&C Annual General Meeting  - Tuesday 21 March at 7pm 

Our AGM is next Tuesday evening in the Gumdale State School Resource Centre.  The AGM will be followed by a General Meeting.  All are welcome! 

Major Raffle –Win a Holiday to Hamilton Island! 

Our major raffle fundraiser for the term is now underway! We hope as many families as possible support this fundraiser. All monies raised will assist in purchasing school equipment and resources.​ 

You can find our friendly volunteers selling tickets outside IGA Gumdale on Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Please send your friends and family down to support GSS! 


1st Prize - Hamilton Island Holiday 

Includes 7 nights at the Reef View Hotel (2 Adults & 2 Children), $1000 Virgin Australia Voucher, buffet breakfast daily, return airport/marina transfers, use of paddle skis, windsurfers, catamarans, snorkelling equipment and tennis & squash court hire. PLUS kids eat free at participating restaurants with special Kids Eat Free children’s menus. (Valued at $3590) 

2nd Prize - $500 JB Hi-Fi Gift Voucher

3rd Prize – Easter Hamper

​How does the Easter Raffle Work? 

  • Tickets are $2 each, in books of 20.
  • Monday 6 March – your eldest child will bring home your family’s book of tickets to sell. If you do not wish to purchase or sell tickets, please return the tickets in a named envelope.
  • Monday 27 March - sold ticket books and money are due back at school (marked with your child’s name and class)
  • Thursday 30 March, 2pm - prizes will be drawn!
  • Top Seller Prize - iPod Shuffle - Each family who sells or purchases a complete book of raffle tickets will go into the draw to win an iPod Shuffle 2GB. Want to be in the running? You can collect additional books of tickets from the school office.
Mothers Day Stall - Thursday 11 and Friday 12 May

The Mother’s Day Stall will be held in the foyer of Hollis Hall on Thursday 11 & Friday 12 May

This year we are looking for donations of wrapped individual chocolates such as a box of Cadbury Favourites or Cadbury Roses.  If you are able to provide a donation, please drop off to the donations box located at School Admin by Friday 28 April. 

Gifts will be priced from $2.00 to $10.00.  Cards will also be available and priced at $1.00. We will advise the students’ class shopping schedule closer to the time.​

Fashion Parade – SAVE THE DATE!! Saturday 20 May

The working party for the P&C Fashion Parade has had its first meeting at the Wynnum Manly Workers Club. Our theme for this year is ‘Boho Chic’. Think free, flowing and intricate details…with ethnic inspired prints, floral prints and lots of colour! It’s sure to be an amazing evening to remember!
