National Day Against Bullying and Violence

In term one, Gumdale State School participated in the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence. Classes had discussions about what bullying is, what to do if they are being or see someone being bullied, and students had the opportunity to write anti-bullying messages. The Student Council sold orange ribbons to signify the day and they voted to put the proceeds towards playground games and books about friendship and bullying. The games are now being used at playtime and the books will be on display in the library for students to read and borrow once they have all arrived. Thank you to the school community for their support and the Student Council for their hard work to organise the day.
