CodeCamp - School Holiday Program

​This holiday break, we are hosting a very special school holiday program called CodeCamp where your child can build their very own iPhone or Android app!  CodeCamp have already taught more than 13,000 students in Australia in years P-7.

Code Camp teaches your children important skills such as computational thinking, logic, creativity, user experience, app development and game building in a fun and engaging way. 

Dates:  Monday 26th – Wednesday 28 June (3 day program) 

Times:  8:30am - 4:00pm

Venue: Gumdale State School Resource Centre​

Little League

These camps are designed for our littlest coders who want to make the first small, but important steps to becoming creators of technology, not just consumers.

Each day consists of a healthy dose of:

  • iPad based coding

  • Board games around coding and problem solving

  • A mix of online and offline activities

  • HEAPS of fun!

Our Little League program has been designed to encourage collaboration, creativity and teamwork. Over 1,000 young coding prodigies have completed this course so far.

Spark

This is our most popular camp which over 10,000 kids have completed so far and where every child aged 7 and above should start their Code Camp journey regardless of their prior coding experience. Kids can attend this Camp multiple times as each Season content is revised and the experience changed.

Kids will walk away with:

  • Their very own app playable via the Code Camp App store on  iOS,  Android or any web browser

  • A new found love for coding and a passion for technology

  • An awesome Code Camp t-shirt and hat

  • Access to a range of video tutorials so they can continue coding at home  NEW

We use our new proprietary software, Code Camp World to teach drag & drop coding which allows us to focus on the logic without getting bogged down with complex syntax. You will be amazed at what your children can create at Code Camp without any previous coding experience! - they'll love showing off their new app to family and friends.

Ignite

Are you ready to take your coding skills to the next level? Ignite is for those who have conquered Code Camp Spark or who already have a lot coding experience elsewhere. Build your own top-down adventure game with heaps of mini-games and fun features!

Kids will walk away with:

  • Their very own app playable via the Code Camp App store on  iOS,  Android or any web browser

  • An awesome Code Camp t-shirt and hat

  • Access to a range of video tutorials so they can continue coding at home  NEW

  • Experience with both drag & drop and some line coding NEW

For the first time, we'll be teaching line coding at Ignite. On the last day of camp, students will experiment with pure JavaScript to enhance their games!

Blast

Take your coding skills to stratospheric new heights with Code Camp Blast. Our most advanced camp is designed for those who have completed our Spark & Ignite camps and are ready to take on the world of pure Javascript.

  • Their very own app playable via the Code Camp App store on  iOS,  Android or any web browser

  • An awesome Code Camp t-shirt and hat

  • A solid understanding of basic Javascript - the language of the web!

  • Bragging rights about all of the above

Students that have completed Blast have gone on to working as Teachers' Assistants at Code Camp and several now have apps on the App Store! Check out Aiden on the Today Show
